Paul's story - Be true to yourself

Biology was a subject I loved in school. It deepened my understanding of the natural world and how our bodies work. Combined with my passion for exploration, I spent several years traveling and working in Sinai, Greece, Utah, and South Wales as a biologist and fish farmer. Looking back, these experiences provided me with invaluable insights into how nutrition, good animal husbandry, and community are essential pillars of health and well-being.

Home was a metal hut from December 1993 to June 1994 - work experience on a fish farm near the Town of Astakos in Greece.

In 1995, out of necessity, I pivoted to a career in sales, which led me to meet Tara (my life partner and now wife) in Edinburgh. I worked in accountancy and financial recruitment in the Southeast of England for a few years, but I missed being close to nature. In 2003, Tara and I decided to move to Scotland, and over the next four years, we settled in Perth, a city on the edge of the Scottish Highlands, where we live today.

Over the past 15 years, I've been fortunate to visit Kerala, a centre of Ayurvedic medicine, and attend several retreats that expanded our understanding of holistic health.

The last five years have been filled with challenges, but they have also provided a time for self-reflection, allowing me to focus on what truly matters:

- The most important things in life cost nothing.

- Invest time in friends and family.

- Be grateful for what you have.

- Always be open to new ideas and adapt to change. (Feel the fear and do it anyway.)

- Learning to let go is important.

- Be true to yourself.

As my career shifts focus (more exciting news to follow), Tara and I are thrilled about the opportunity to grow our new fledgling Microgreens Vertical Farm. These incredible microgreens are packed with micronutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins, providing our bodies with what they need to detoxify and maintain health naturally—potentially extending our lives and healthy living by 20 years.
